My First Experience with a Dead iPhone 3G

3 08 2008

The other day I was unfortunate to have my very first dead battery on the iPhone. It was unfortunate because I was about an hour away from home, and I was in a Barnes and Noble with my girlfriend and her friends waiting for the release of “Breaking Dawn” …quite reminiscent of my iPhone 3G camping. I had been using the iPhone all day for music in the car, and with 3 young teenage girls so, listening to the predominantly Metal music was out of the question. Needless to say, there was lots of track changing. Also, I had seemed to have left WiFi on, so it was trying to connect to 10 hotspots for most of the night.

So here was the scene: I was standing in line that the Starbucks getting me some coffee for the night (I had just got off of work, I was falling asleep) listening to The Faint (Fasciination comes out in 2 days!) and then…there was silence. It was a scary night after that. I now bring my charger in my car wherever I go.

No Music Challenge [Day 5]

25 07 2008

On the fifth day of my No Music Challenge, I cleaned the house. I wasn’t going anywhere today, whatsoever, so, I cleaned (god, I sound like my mother). Now, I use the vacuum pictured above. As you may, or may not, know Dysons are known to not loose their sucking power over time, this is true due to the EXTREMELY powerful motor inside. It truely sucks (yaay for puns!). Such suckage makes this vacuum 10 times louder than the traditional vacuum. Listening to my iPhone helps a lot. So, since I was in my house, I decided to listen to my Neighborhood on Last.fm (yaay WiFi!). Afterward, I went back to the Pandora app on my MacBook since I needed to clean my room for my girlfriend’s guests who are coming from Ohio and Illinois soon.
