Noise.io [an App I'm actually anticipating]

25 08 2008

One of the lesser known facts about SpecialKolin is that he actually enjoys making music. Of course, my talent is quite questionable, but yes, it’s true, I play music. My instrument of choice, is the keyboard or the synth.

Enter: Noise.io. Noise.io is the first iPhone synth to come to the App Store. Basically, what they’ve done is jammed a whole software synth into Cocoa Touch. Naturally it’s not going to be exactly the same experience that a musician could get from, say, Logic Pro, or a real synth, but the main idea is that it would be portable, and just as good as any other software synth.

I’m anticipating Noise.io since I’m always looking for new ways to make music. When I download my copy, I’ll be able to play something from the comfort of…well…anywhere!

Noise.io is expected to be released sometime in September, and will cost $6.99.

I am Rich

10 08 2008

It was only a matter of time before I did a post on this. I am Rich. Personally, I am not, but some people out there are. 8 people total to be exact. I know you’ve probably read it all over the blog of your choice, but since I know you care about my opinion, I’m going to give it to you.

The buyers were in fact stupid, and obviously rich…or were. I don’t want to seem cold hearted, but seriously, why would something in the Apple Store be a joke? Like, did they expect after they hit “buy” for it to go “Haha! jk! luv Steve”?

That’s all I really have to say…Laugh at someone if you know that they bought it.

My Accomplishment for Today

29 07 2008

Today I accomplished something I’ve been wanting to do for a while: create my own domain. I’m still working on the site for it, because, frankly, I don’t want a server dedicated 100% to my blog. You know, since I do photography, I’ll be putting my portfolio up on it as well. I’m sure I could babbel on and on about what I’m planning for that darn server of mine. I’m giving it a break for today though.

Okay, some of you may be thinking “what’s up with the barcode?” Well, I’m glad you asked. It’s part of my new advertising idea. Not only that, but I’ve always had this wierd passion for barcodes and the like. What does that particular code say? Well, you could always just go see the title of the picture, cause being as organized as I am, I named it what it says, or you could go hit up Semapedia for readers for your phone. On the iPhone, I use 2D Sense (found in the App Store). Needles to say, I’m enjoying codes again due to the app.

I’ll let all you know when I’m done with more of the site.
