30th Post!

8 07 2008

Woo! Thirty posts! We’ve come quite a way folks. Instead of just one reader, I think we now have 3! Anyway…I haven’t been posting as much as I’d like, but hopefully I’ll be able to post more often or something of the sort.

Here’s what I have planned for the near future:
- iPhone 3G release coverage
- Post-release coverage
- more original posts
- more cheese
Thanks for reading, really.

iPhone 3G in the wild!

8 07 2008

Freakin’ Portuguese dude got the iPhone 3G before anyone!

Okay, that might have been a little harsh, but either way. Someone in Portugal has been able to unbox and boot up our magical friend. The mystery of the “SIM Removal Tool” has been removed, and is obviously a natural work of Apple, taking the bent paperclip to the next level.

This just makes me even more excited!

uXM for the iPhone

8 07 2008

Here’s an app that I am hoping will be ported to the App Store. uXM is, well, XM on your iPhone. This peaks my interest because, as you can probably guess, I have an XM account. Do I use it? No, not really, cause it’s actually my mom’s, and the XM receivers are kinda expensive for me, and frankly I’m sick and tired of CDs in my car. So, once I get my iPhone 3G, my options will be:

A. Mod my head unit and make an Auxiliary jack for it
or
B. Get an FM transmitter
Although A sounds cooler and stuff, I’m probably going to be taking the easy way out and buying an FM transmitter.
So: I want uXM on my iPhone 3G without Jailbreaking it. Because, frankly, I’m done with listening to CDs and I’ve been done with the radio for a good long time now, and I’m never going to pick it back up. The only things I want to listen to are either Mp3s or XM, and what a better way to combine the things I want to hear!
